A prized Darjeeling with a medium-bodied taste and lovely muscatel character.
Mim is in the Darjeeling area of Northern India. From the town center on a clear day the peak of Mount Everest can be seen. The genus of the Darjeeling tea bush is the Chinese Jat, which gives it the distinctive muscatel character. Because the tea is grown at such high altitudes and in relatively cool weather the bushes do not grow quickly, and as such the production is limited. The best time of the year for quality is during ‘second-flush’ (end May – end June). During this time Darjeelings are incomparable to any other tea in the world.
- Aroma: The aroma of Darjeeling Mim tea is typically described as muscatel, with hints of honey, citrus, and flowers.
- Flavor: The flavor of Darjeeling Mim tea is light to medium-bodied, with notes of honey, citrus, flowers, and a slight sweetness.
- Aftertaste: The aftertaste of Darjeeling Mim tea is long and lingering, with a hint of muscatel.
Darjeeling Mim tea is a delicious and refreshing tea that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great choice for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon pick-me-up. If you are looking for a unique and flavorful tea, I highly recommend trying Darjeeling Mim tea.
